Who wouldn't like a Christmas tree lane in their scenic and little developed coastal California town? Good to hear that there was some lightness and whimsy in the man.

There was certainly some lightness and whimsy and on the other extreme quite a temper. He had a lot of big visions, hope, and faith for the world. Christmas Tree Lane was a step toward something bigger.

That he was! The songs and poems he wrote are corny, amusing, and endearing. He was a very sweet father doting on his girls.

I appreciate your reading and commenting, Joseph.

So fascinating! And what gorgeous pictures of Christmas Tree Lane, what a beautiful legacy. Though I know it's only one of many!

Thank you, Jayne! Much appreciated. I enjoyed reading about the current Christmas Tree Lane and seeing the photographs. It seems to be a bring-people-together activity. Those volunteers- old and young- work for ten weeks to string the lights. That's a really nice tradition and community experience.

Yes, can you imagine??!! The first skyscraper, the Home Insurance Building in Chicago, was a whopping ten-stories high.

Thank you for reading and commenting.
